Folkestone St Mary’s Church of England Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, and requires staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.

Across our school we have 7 trained Designated Safeguarding staff members.

Our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) is:

Mr Richard Paez, Headteacher [email protected]

Our Deputies are:

Mrs Kim Gardiner, Business Manager [email protected]

Miss Holly Kleinman, Assistant Headteacher

Mr Greg Hooper, Assistant Headteacher

Miss Emma Tugwood, Nursery Manager

Miss Alison Johncock, SENCo

Mrs Kerry Murray, Pastoral Lead

The role of a DSL is to ensure that our pupils are safe both in and outside of school. If you have any worries or concerns about a situation that your child, or any other, is facing, please do not hesitate to contact us.

If your concerns relate to the actions or behaviour of a member of staff, then you should report this to one of the DSLs in confidence, (or to Emma Lane, Chair of Governors, if the concern relates to the Headteacher) who will consider what action to take.
