Subject Vision

Through geography, we aim to:

  • Reveal the Beauty of Creation Pupils encounter the richness of landscapes, climates, and cultures (from local landscapes to global cultures) —recognising the joy and diversity woven into the fabric of the Earth, just as the wilderness rejoices in bloom.
  • Grow in Knowledge and Wisdom Children develop geographical skills and critical thinking, learning to interpret maps, analyse data, and understand human and physical processes that shape our world. They learn to ask thoughtful questions and understand the interconnectedness of people and places.
  • Foster Global Compassion and Stewardship Geography helps children see themselves as global citizens and caretakers of creation. We teach them to value difference, act justly, and respond with empathy to the needs of others—locally and globally developing a sense of responsibility rooted in Christian values.
  • Encourage Flourishing Through Exploration Like lilies thriving in unexpected places, our pupils are nurtured to flourish through curiosity, resilience, and reflection. Fieldwork, outdoor learning, and real-world connections help them grow in confidence and purpose.

Geography at our school is more than a subject—it’s a journey of discovery, faith, and flourishing. Rooted in Christian values and a belief in each child’s God-given potential, our geography curriculum helps children grow in knowledge, character, and love for the world—so they may truly flourish.
